Abstract
Energy demand in the world especially oil predicted
deficit.as we know that between supply and demand oil in the world more bigger
demand that supply. global crude oil consumption in 2006 is 84.50 million barel
per day but in 2020 year to be 120 million barel per day.but global crued oil
production in 2020 is about 60 million barel per day so deficit 60 million barel
per day.this problem because the source of oil from fosil energy in the future
predicted loss. we need mobile and stationary energy
solution.sun, wind, water, geothermal and biomass are renewable energy sources
under certain conditions and regional availability: plant oils can be used for
partial substitution of mineral fuels.preliminary research has shown that the
seeds obtained from plain jatropha curcas contain 40% of medium viscosity
triglyceride oil that can be used as fuel for stationary diesel engines. In direct comparison to diesel fuel is has
been found that jatropha oil has a significantly higher flashpoint ( 240c
againts 50c for diesel ) and a slightly
higher density other properties like calorific value and cetane numbers are on
par while the low sulphur content of jatropha oil presents a major advantage.
